Poole Literary FestivalDidn’t know Poole had a Literary Festival? Well, you could be forgiven for that, but now would be a good time to find out more, or risk missing out on three days of inspiration for anyone who’s at all interested in the written word. Started in 2009 by a group of volunteers, Poole Literary Festival focusses on ‘The Past, Present and Future of the Written Word’.

From Friday 29th to Sunday 31st October, Poole will play host to a wealth of literary talent and a varied programme of events, from the serious to the not-so-serious, mixing big-name authors and poets alongside some up-and-coming talent.

There is a chance to meet authors including former Children’s laureate Michael Morpurgo and current Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy, as well as workshops, discussions and events. Visit www.poolelitfest.com to find out more.
