The Perfect Place...
Owned by Terry Ockenden and Vicky Spooner, is a small farm of permanent pasture used to grow fodder.
The farm’s old dairy, out of its original use since the 1960s, has been carefully converted into luxury farmstay holiday cottages – keeping the character of the building intact. The cottages are situated in the centre of the farm yard, with excellent views across the fields, and provide the perfect base for a quiet Dorset retreat.
Animals on the farm include; one rare breed Highland Pony “Fleetmead Euan” and ex-dressage horse “Ace”, Cori the ex-race horse, two cats (Boots and Bubbles) and a flock of hens looked after by the cockerells (Matt, Luke and Craig). Equine accommodation is also available, both stabling and turnout.
The farmstay holiday cottages are situated approximately 5 miles from Wimborne and are ideally located in an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) on the edge of the hamlet of Uppington, near Hinton Martell. On a clear day we are privileged with views across West Dorset and the Isle of Wight!
